Abstract Optical and infrared continuum polarization from the interstellar medium is driven by radiative processes aligning grains with magnetic field. While a quantitative, predictive theory of alignment torques (RATs) exists has been extensively tested, several parameters remain to be fully constrained. In recent paper, Medan & Andersson showed that efficiency (and therefore grain efficiency) at different locations in wall Local Bubble (LB) could modeled as proportional integrated light intensity surrounding stars OB associations. Here we probe relationship high radiation field intensities studying extinction two reflection nebulae IC 59 63 Sh 2-185 H ii region, illuminated B0 IV star ? Cassiopeia. We combine archival visual polarimetry new seven-band photometry Vilnius system, derive material. find same linear seen LB also applies strengthening conclusion earlier study.
