Abstract Optical and infrared continuum polarization from the interstellar medium is driven by radiative processes aligning grains with magnetic field. While a quantitative, predictive theory of alignment torques (RATs) exists has been extensively tested, several parameters remain to be fully constrained. In recent paper, Medan & Andersson showed that efficiency (and therefore grain efficiency) at different locations in wall Local Bubble (LB) could modeled as proportional integrated light intensity surrounding stars OB associations.
